Within all services, we strive to replicate a homely, family environment that provides safety, consistency, and nurturing care. Our mission is to empower children and young people by equipping them with the skills, education, and confidence they need to move forward positively.

Our Purpose, Ethos, Core Aims and Values

Our Purpose

Progressive Independence exists to provide safe, supportive, and nurturing environments for children and young people. Through our Children’s Home and Supported Accommodation, we deliver consistent care, stability, and opportunities that enable children and young people to feel safe, valued, and prepared for the future.

Our Ethos

Our ethos is built on trauma-informed, child-centred practice. We believe that every child and young person deserves safety, stability, and trusted relationships. By creating warm, structured homes with strong routines and skilled staff, we foster resilience, wellbeing, and independence.

At Progressive Independence, we also believe that every child needs to feel loved in order to flourish. Progressive Independence will ensure that these values are adhered to, by embedding them into the recruitment process, and all of our staff development appraisals and supervision records. Challenge behaviours that do not demonstrate our core values, staff will be assessed in their performance reviews and annual review
